Nick Tofalos is the Principal of Garstang Osteopathic Clinic and Pendle Osteopathic Practice. He has a Batchelor of Osteopathy degree from the British School of Osteopathy and is a member of the Institute of Classical Osteopathy.
Nick worked as a teacher in Pendle and Bolton for many years before deciding on a change of career which led him to study osteopathy for five years before qualifying in 2005.
He is particularly interested in the classical style of osteopathy which focuses on the body’s vitality and its ability to heal itself – looking at the whole when a patient is in a disease state. He believes the osteopathic diagnosis should look at all aspects of a patient and the contributory factors to their problem. This may involve a patient’s diet, exercise and lifestyle including work related stresses, be it of a physical nature (such as a builder doing heavy lifting) to emotional stresses (such as a full in tray from being off work ill!).
